I am responsible for my success in this endeavor, just as I am responsible for why I was heavy in the first place. This applies not just to my health status but everything else in my life. It's all on me.
Today when my mind asked that question, I looked at the thermometer - 83 degrees at 6 pm - and said, "I am going to the beach and run." My legs are tired, but my mental state has been reinvigorated. I feel good that I took responsibility for my own health and followed my own rule #2 - exercise. Every day!
Spring break is almost here. Lots of people at the beach. I don't know where you are headed, but remember to eat right and exercise. And get some rest. You'll need it.
For the record, I am not a doctor. I am not a certified trainer. I am not a professional body builder. But, I am in better shape because of following some simple rules. So, as Uncle Buck said: "You should always consult a professional, like your doctor, before you begin any weight loss program, and you should ask an expert before you try some of the foods and exercise that Cheryl and Doc use." In other words, this blog contains my opinion on what might work and is for folks who are serious about changing their life. It should not be construed as anything more than what I found on my journey, and how I learned to use it. So you have now been warned: Do not attempt the journey on your own without consulting a professional or gaining parental approval.
(Don't forget the sunscreen :)
